Leonor Fini
Oil Paintings
1931 - 1987

1949
The identity of the man in L’Homme aux masques is unknown. He is, however, one of Fini’s archetypes; slender, dark and somewhat androgynous. A nubile young man, masks and cat faces....a veritable Fini Feast!

Although painted in 1949, it was first exhibited at the Galeria dell’ala Napolianica at the Palazzo Reale in Piazza St. Marco, Venice, Italy, in 1952. Oil on canvas 24.5” x 15.5”.
